PDF Compress
Shrink a large PDF by re-rendering every page as an image at the resolution and JPEG quality you choose. A live before/after size comparison and percentage saved make it easy to balance quality against file size. Compression happens locally with pdf.js and pdf-lib — nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
Does compression keep the text selectable?
No. Pages are converted to images, so the compressed PDF looks the same but its text can no longer be selected or searched. This is the standard approach for heavily image-based files.
